SEARCHING PHYSICAL FITNESS LEVELS AND BODY COMPOSITIONS OF FEMAL

417 female child aged between 7-11 who are receiving education in Muğla Primary Schools in the 11 who are receiving education in Muğla Primary Schools in the education period of 2009-2010 attended this study.Permission was taken from Muğla Provincial directorate for national education, schools’ directors and physical education teachers. In order to determine body composition of children height and weight measurements were taken.Onorder to determine the levels of physical activity with pedometer device 2 consecutive weekdays and 1 weekend day to a total of three days measurements were made. Statistical analysis were made in the SPSS (version 15.0) packaged sortware.One way variance analysis (ANOVA), Tukey HSD test were applied.In order to search relationship between variables corelation test was done. Between female children’s height,weight,physical fitness step,BMO and BKI values differences were found in the level of p<0,001. Between physical activity step and living area,age,height,weight,BKI and BMO levels of female children negative relation was found in the level of p<0,001. According to physical fitness assessment standarts of children aged between 6-12; 1 person is in “very good” standart, in the standart of “good” border there are %17,26 of female children,the ratio of “medium physical step” border of female children is %31.89 and the ratio of “poor physical step” border of female 12; 1 person is in “very good” standart, in the standart of “good” border there are %17,26 of female children,the ratio of “medium physical step” border of female children is %31.89 and the ratio of “poor physical step” border of female children is %1,67. As a result physical activity levels of female children are lower than other countries.This because other countries’ thoughts of giving children physical fitness habits in early chilhoods and then adding courses relating physical fitness in their curriculums.
